49/06/07 1 Final Curtain Call - The first show of the series.
"Murder is a dark enigma that strikes fear into the heart of man." The
adventures of Jonathan Kegg, a lawyer who is "financially secure" and
only appears as a "amicus curiae" (friend of the court). Actress
Victoria Marley is being replaced in a play and is later found murdered
with a knife in her throat. Her husband has been accused of the crime.
An interesting attempt by Erle Stanley Gardner to create another crime-
solving attorney after "Perry Mason." Erle Stanley Gardner (creator),
Ned LeFevre, Mike Wallace (announcer, billed as "Myron Wallace").
49/09/13 15 Boarder Killed - There's been a murder in Mrs. O'Malley's
boarding house. It's Bill Smith, the boarder that everyone hates.
50/06/27 16 Carol Garson Murdered - Carol Carson gets out of jail
and comes to the Wilson farm to claim her daughter Betsy. That's not
going to happen says Matt Wilson, and then Carol Carson is shot dead.
The actress portraying Betsy has no lines, but screams like an siren far
too much during the first part of the program. In fact, at the end of the
show, when she's a witness at the trial, all she does is scream like a siren!
50/07/18 19 Arson Case - Papa Gaetano runs a neighborhood candy
store, extending credit to the neighborhood kids. Young Bill Nelson is
accused of burning down the store.
50/07/25 20 Carl Fortune - The program begins with a Korean War
bulletin. The North Koreans have pushed back American troops with
their first night attack. Carl Fortune's mother-in-law is trying to break
up Carl's marriage and get back the money advanced for Carl's
business. Carl is then found dead in his garage.
50/08/29 25 A Judge Is Shot - After his niece confesses to having two thousand
dollars in gambling debts and forging a check, Judge Cook fires his ex-convict butler.
After cutting off his niece's money, the judge is found shot.
52/07/09 41 Gangster Dan Wilmore Murdered - Daniel Wilmore, the tough gangster,
is on the lam from the G-Men in the Florida Keys. He's been knifed to death and his
$50,000 has disappeared.
52/07/10 42 Dr Alanby Case - Dr. Allenby, a distinguished anthropologist, discovers
the Kalare tomb in the Yucatan. He's found murdered under mysterious circumstances.

is found shot. Eddie Phillips has broken out of prison before he was scheduled to be executed.
